We love our yards! In fact, according to a recent survey conducted by the TurfMutt Foundation, 76 percent of Americans that have a yard say the outdoor space is one of the most important parts of their home.
And because it is such an important part of the home, many people are willing to put in the time, energy, and resources necessary to transform their yard; according to the survey, a whopping 84 percent of Americans plan to invest in their yard in 2022.
So what, exactly, are they investing in this year? According to the survey, some of the most popular investments Americans plan to make in their year in 2022 include:
Purchasing plants, trees, flowers, and/or vegetables to plant themselves (67 percent)
Purchasing items to maintain or improve the grassy areas in their yard (39 percent)
Installing or updating hardscaping (23 percent)
